Directions to the Healey Family Student Center, Social Room​

If you have arrived at the front gates:

1. Begin by walking straight through the gates until you reach the statue in front of the large building with the clock tower (Healy Hall). Turn to your left and walk the path in front of Healy Hall until you see the library building pictured below.
2. You should now be outside the front of Lauinger Library. 
   • If you are facing the library, turn to your right and walk down the hill. 

1. When you arrive at New South Residence Hall, you have made it to the right place. 
   • The entrance to the HFSC can be found in the courtyard area outside of New South Residence Hall. 

• If you have taken a rideshare app to the front gates, or have taken the G2 or D6 bus lines to the front gates, then you can follow the directions outlined in this first section. 

If you are planning on taking public transportation, then you have several options:

1. The two nearest metro stops to Georgetown are in Dupont Circle (red line) and Rosslyn (blue, orange, and silver lines). 
   • If you have exited the metro stop at either of these stations, you are able to ride the Georgetown University Transportation Shuttle (GUTS bus) back to campus. 
     • The GUTS bus runs on a schedule which can be found here. 
   • Once you have boarded the GUTS bus and been driven to campus, you will exit the bus outside of McDonough Arena.

• • • If you are facing, McDonough Arena, then you should turn to your right and walk up Library Walk

• • • • You should pass the Southwest Quad Dormitories on your left and Leondardo O’ Donovan’s Dining hall on your right
    • You can now enter the HFSC through the stairs or ramp. 

1. If you have exited the metro stop and opted not to take the GUTS bus, then you can take the DC public transportation to the campus’ front gates.
   • Both the D6 and the G2 will bring you to Georgetown’s front gates 
     • After exiting the bus, you can follow the directions to the HFSC outlined in the first section of this guide.

If you are taking a rideshare app: 

1. The two addresses you can put if you are taking a rideshare app to campus are: 3700 Tondorf Rd, Washington, DC 20057 or 3700 O ST NW, Washington DC 20057. 
   • The first address will drop you off behind the HFSC and all you need to do is go up the steps and you can enter the building. This is not an accessible entrance for those with mobility needs. 

• • The second address will drop you off at the front gates and you can follow the directions outlined in the first section of this guide.  

If you are driving to campus: 

1. You can park in the Southwest Quad Parking Garage (Southwest Garage, Washington, DC 20057)
   • If you RSVPd and requested parking, you will need to tell the parking attendant the event and your name.
   • After exiting the garage, make a right and walk towards Library Walk. 
   • Once you are on Library Walk and reach Leonardo O’ Donovan’s Dining Hall you will be across the street from the entrance to the HFSC. 

Getting to the Social Room inside the HFSC:

Once you have arrived to HFSC, enter the open style “great room” that has seating and tables. Walk toward the glass doors that open to the patio, but turn to your left before reaching the doors and follow the corridor to the check-in table. The social room will be the last door on your left and our staff will be outside ready to greet you! The information desk (to the right of the entrance) is also available to help direct you to the Social Room. You can also access the full campus map here.
